Starting primary school is a big step for children — and for parents too.

This session will support parents with practical ways to help children feel more confident, secure and ready for the move from Early Years to primary school.

We’ll look at everyday things that can make a real difference, including:

• Building confidence and independence

• Supporting your child emotionally through the transition

• Helping with routines for the school day

• Encouraging practical skills like managing lunchboxes, coats and belongings

• Strengthening the connection between home, Early Years settings and school
